At 12:35 hrs, Dept 65 and BR10 were dispatched to the area of Flag Pole Hill for a reported brush fire. Chief 65 arrived with a report of a 50′x50′ area burning along a fence line and wooded area. Fire sparked by sparks from a saw being used to cut apart the fence. SU65 arrived using front bumper turret for fire suppression along with hand line from Brush 10. Chief 65-5 arrived assisting with raking line around the area and commanding the operation. E65, 65-1, and BR65-1 arrived all assisting with operations.
At 13:44 hrs, BR65-1 assisted CO4 for a reported brush fire along the Petersburg Pike in Logan Twp.
At 14:41 hrs, E65 returned to the Flag Pole Hill area to apply more water around the scene due to high winds in the region.
At 16:52 hrs, E65, BR65-1, BR65-2, T65-1,and T65-2 assisted CO20 for a reported woods fire along the Sugar Grove Rd in Henderson Twp.
At 20:11 hrs, at the request of Chief 20 as units were returning, he wished units to return to the scene as wind gusts increased and spot fires began around the fire scene.
At 20:17, Chief65, 65-6, with BR65-1 (standing by) investigated a report of a possible camp fire along the Stone Creek near Standing Stone RD. Contact was made with persons in the area and were advised to extinguish their fire due to the fire risk.
